    Trained as a Cognitive-Behavioral therapist, my style is interactive and solution-focused. Focusing on short-term treatment, my goal is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients address current life challenges and long-standing issues. With compassion and understanding, I help individuals and couples find resolution to a wide range of personal concerns and psychological issues.

    Whether working with children, adolescents or adults, couples or families, I draw from a variety of methodologies and techniques. The integration of complimentary approaches allows me to incorporate what is most helpful to each client and situation. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client’s specific needs to help them develop strengths, achieve life goals, and attain the personal growth they are striving for.

    Meet Kona! Our Therapy Dog

    We are excited for you to meet Kona, He is a 9-year old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. Kona was rescued from Kona, Hawaii when he was 11 months old. He adoption was made possible through Cavalier Rescue USA.

    About Me

    Dr. Lori Rappaport received her Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern California. She did a Child and Pediatric Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, where she developed the Growing Up Great! Parenting Program. Dr. Rappaport also completed a Family Medicine Fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Hospital in Los Angeles. Dr. Rappaport has worked at several Children’s Hospitals including Boston, Los Angeles, Long Beach and San Diego. Dr. Rappaport has been practicing Clinical Psychology since 1990.

    Dr. Rappaport enjoys teaching students and other professionals, as well as parents. She has taught at the University level in both undergraduate (USC) and graduate programs (Chapman University), as well as in the hospitals to medical residents and grand rounds.
